David has a degree in Marine Biology and Oceanography from Swansea University , and an MBA from Imperial College, London.
As a BSAC Advanced Diver he has enjoyed spending time beneath the waves in both cold and tropical waters including most of the UK, Germany, The Bahamas, The British Virgin Islands, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea, British Columbia, Libya, Egypt and South Africa.
As well as his civilian diving qualifications he has also had experience as a commercial and Army Diver. He has dived in nil visibility, around many wrecks, beneath the ice of a frozen harbour and with a multitude of sharks and other marine species.
It was his personal observation of the positive and negative aspects of various artificial reefs that motivated him to create his own design, optimised to provide the greatest benefit for the aquatic environment.
David lives in Somerset with his wife, three daughters and two cats.
